Association of Victims of Chemical Weapons (AVCW)
Who we are?
A group of victims, families of victims and survivors of the crimes against humanity committed by Bashar al-Assad’s regime using chemical weapons as crimes of genocide against unarmed civilians.
After months of effort since our first meeting in October 2020, we have established this association and that included a large number of discussions and meetings until the idea and objectives of the association got their final form.
Take part in building and protecting sustainable justice in Syria based on the rule of law, citizenship, equality, and human rights, which is also based on involving the victims and their families by putting their tragedy under the light and working hard on preventing the criminals from escaping punishment.
- Working hard to hold accountable all those who were involved in the use of chemical weapons in Syria, and those who were responsible for distorting facts and evidence with the intent of impunity.
- Cooperating with chemical weapons uses investigation and documentation efforts, and lets the world know about the chemical crimes of the Assad regime
- Working on securing all rights of victims and survivors of the use of chemical weapons and commemorating their memory.
- Cooperate with the prohibition of the use of chemical weapons efforts around the world.
